This serger coat and vest for the 18" doll comes with three pattern pieces for
the coat and one pattern piece for the vest. The coat has a choice of two lengths.
You may decoratively serge around the entire coat and vest or use a decorative binding
that may be sewn on with a sewing machine. The serger coat was designed to look like
Lindaís Serger Coat pattern. Now your 18" doll can have
a coat to match. Suggested fabrics are polar fleece, wool melton, Ultrasuedeô, terrycloth,
robe fleece (beach or bath robe), a blanket, or other double faced fabrics. Thanks to Lora De Maar for her help in creating this pattern and for making the samples. Yardage Requirements Coat, long or short-24" square Vest-16" W x 9" L Binding for outer edges (not needed for serger variation) 2 Yds. for coat 1 1/2 Yds. for vest Additional items needed: Decorative threads for serger, thread for sewing coat & vest together, paper for tracing pattern,*seam sealant for sealing decorative serged seams, scissors, *tweezers, *double eyed bodkin or tapestry needle, and *wire looper threaders.
