"America Quilts Creatively"

I had the priviledge of appearing on America Quilts Creatively, series 600, program #604 where I showed how to use some decorative stitches to quilt a needle case. The pattern I used for this show is described below. This series will air on PBS stations starting on January 8th.

Do you have several packages of needles and would like to organize them in one place? This needle case offers you a place to keep all your packages of serger and sewing machine needles. There are also two felt pads where you can keep a few slightly used needles. The front cover is designed to be personalized with your favorite embroidery or special treasures. You can also embellish the cover of the case with a Top Coverstitch, Coverstitch and/or Chainstitch, making it a very unique design. There are several clear vinyl pockets that hold the needles packages inside. You may finish the edges with decorative threads or a bias tape. A ribbon is used to tie the case together.

Practical Needle Case pattern only, Retail $8.50

A kit is also available for $12.00 that includes all the fabrics, ribbon, vinyl strips, felt and bias to make this case. Fabrics will vary on each kit. Specify color choice when ordering. You will need to purchase the pattern separately.
